Ashleigh is a Tāmaki Makaurau-based photographer drawn to capturing the quiet beauty in people and places. Her work is cinematic and editorial in feel — always thoughtful, often poetic, and grounded in a deep sensitivity to light and emotion.
This self-shot series is a quiet collection of portraits captured during a slow journey through Europe. From sunlit streets in Florence to calm mornings on the Costa Brava, her images capture the beauty and stillness of her favourite European cities

Eat & drink
Parione in Florence, I could go there every night.
Shop
Socks from Quercioli e Lucherini in Florence, honestly the best socks you will own and such an easy gift.
Wander
Just all of Paris. But mostly the 3rd (Le Marais), the Picasso gallery & Maison Européenne De la Photographie.

Pause
L’Escala. After spending time in some very busy Italian cities, the local nature of this town was so welcome. There were mostly french or spanish tourists who spent the whole day at the beach with their families.I felt so relaxed and inspired the whole time.
Hidden gem
Borgo Argenina, the place we stayed in Chianti, literally feels like you're living in a postcard we never wanted to leave. If you want quintessential Tuscany out your window I couldn't recommend more.
