MADELINE MASON

Doctor& charity director

MADELINE MASON

Madeline is a soon-to-be doctor, charity director and creative, moving gently between medicine, community and care. After eight years of study, she’s nearing graduation while continuing to lead Neighbourhood, a community charity she co-founded.

Her days are grounded in movement, nourishment, and moments of stillness — anchored by a deep commitment to healing, both personal and collective. She reminds us that rest is critical and the future of care can be both clinical and deeply human.

Can you tell us about yourself?

I descend from a long line of healers, scientists, craftsmen and incredible storytellers - I feel that it beats loudly in my bloodstream to create safe spaces for people to heal in and more deeply understand themselves, and each other.

Where are you finding inspiration?

I always find that many answers to our human problems can be revealed in the natural world around us. My healing ethos is grounded on always considering ecological solutions to our physiological challenges.

What are you currently learning?

Last year I fell in love with the concept of “Wintering” (with credit to Katherine May’s wonderful novel) and the idea that humans are the only species in nature that resist and ignore their innate need for seasonality and cycles. I have been taking the time to observe how my ecosystem responds to this seasonal change.

Listening

Any podcast interviews with Alain de Botton if you want to think differently about love, relationships and maybe even interrogate your own self-sabotaging patterns.
